Ladysmith Main Street is proud to announce that Aurora Community Counseling will be opening an office in downtown Ladysmith. The office will open on 08-03-15 with an open house on September 3rd from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Aurora Community Counseling Office will be located at the former Ladysmith Main Street Office at 108 W. 2nd St. N. right in downtown Ladysmith’s Main Street District. The Main Street Office will be relocating to 213 Miner Ave. W.

Andy Wolf, LCSW, Director of Aurora Community Counseling explains, “Aurora Community Counseling moved to the location to be more centrally located for clients seeking services and it’s convenient location to other local amenities.” Aurora Community Counseling headquartered in Menomonie, Wisconsin, has been Wisconsin’s neighborhood counseling resource for over 19 years and has been providing services in Rusk since 2002.  Aurora’s staff and counselors assist individuals, couples, & families with issues related to substance abuse, parenting, relationships, adolescents, eating disorders, depression, and other mental health concerns. For more information please contact Aurora at or 715-532-9771.

The addition of Aurora and the services they provide to our community will have a positive impact on our downtown district,” explains Ladysmith Main Street Executive Director, Alan Christianson. “Aurora will bring 14 employees and will serve many, many clients every week from their downtown location. The addition of Aurora to the downtown area is a great step and one of many in the downtown revitalization efforts with the downtown area providing easy and convenient access to the other services including banking, dining, health care, retail and the post office. The downtown revitalization efforts in Ladysmith continue to progress and Ladysmith Main Street is here to ensure these partnerships and opportunities continue.”
